Digital Citizenship: Topic 1

You should now have set up your blog. For all your blog entries please enter in the Title of your post and the topic number you are responding to. Your first post should be called 'Digital Citizenship: Topic 1'. Labeling your posts with the correct title and topic will help me make sure you are keeping up and allow me to grade more fairly.

Please read the Blogging Guidelines .  We will be commenting on each others blog posts so it is important to know what is expected of you. In your first blog let me know what guideline will be the most difficult for you to follow and why.

Next,  visit the 3 links below and while reviewing the information on each think about the following questions:

In your blog, post your answer to the 2 questions and make sure to reference the sites you visited and how they helped you develop your answers.

Finally,  see whether you have a “digital footprint” established already, try going to Google and searching for your name. You may want to surround it with quotation marks and try various renditions (e.g. "Katherine Powell", "Katherine M. Powell") You may be surprised by what you find. Your digital footprint will stay with you your entire life, so you want whatever people may find about you online to be positive.  You can create an alert in Google to follow any references to your name.
Finish your first blog post with your thoughts about what you found out about your digital footprint on Google.
